I received this error working a swiftly written CloudFormation template:
mapping values usually are not allowed right here
in “<unicode string>”, line 8, column 9:
Sort: AWS::IAM::Group
^ (line: 8)
The issue was that I forgot a colon after the useful resource title on the prior line.
In different phrases this:

batch_job_admin_group
Sort: AWS::IAM::Group
Ought to have been this:

Sort: AWS::IAM::Group
