It’s a bug. Navigate to the audit logs one other approach.

If you attempt to search on audit logs as a worldwide administrator within the Azure portal it tells you that you simply should not have permission. Azure help confirmed that could be a bug.

As an alternative, seek for “Azure Lively Listing” and click on audit logs within the left nav.

Additionally observe that looking out on “Azure AD” doesn’t work. It looks like it ought to.
