An indigenous, environment friendly, inexpensive and licensed BLDC motor and sensible controller for e-rickshaws has been developed by IIT Kharagpur underneath the Indigenous Growth of Electrical Automobile Sub-systems of the Ministry of Electronics and Info Expertise (MeitY). The expertise was on Tuesday transferred to Brushless Motor India Pvt Ltd for business manufacturing, in keeping with a press launch.
Over 90 per cent of the parts and expertise for EVs reminiscent of motor, controller, converter, battery administration system, charger, and many others imported in India are usually not appropriate for the native atmosphere, street and visitors circumstances.
