A pair of essential safety vulnerabilities in Google’s Pixel cell phone line may result in privilege escalation and gadget takeover.
The Pixel bugs, tracked as CVE-2022-20231 and CVE-2022-20364, are within the Belief and Kernel elements, respectively, based on Google’s Android safety advisory.
“For Google units, safety patch ranges of 2022-09-05 or later tackle all points on this bulletin and all points within the September 2022 Android Safety Bulletin,” Google stated in its Pixel patch advisory. “All supported Google units will obtain an replace to the 2022-09-05 patch stage. We encourage all clients to just accept these updates to their units.”
