AWS Naming Conventions…once more…CloudFormation

Apparently no names in CloudFormation can include underscores. I don’t love camel case however that will work. On this case the issue was with one in every of my useful resource names.

So this:

Assets:
  batch_job_admin_group:
Kind: AWS::IAM::Group
Properties:
GroupName: !Ref group_name_param

Turned this:

Assets:
  batchjobadmingroup:
Kind: AWS::IAM::Group
Properties:
GroupName: !Ref group_name_param

Simply identify every little thing on AWS all lowercase no areas no underscores no dashes and no numbers. That ought to work. I feel.
