Astro is a website builder that allows you to use the frontend instruments you already love (React, Vue, Svelte, and extra) to construct content-rich, performant web sites. Astro extracts your UI into smaller, remoted parts (“islands”) and replaces unused JavaScript with light-weight HTML for quicker hundreds and time-to-interactive (TTI).
Ben and Nate clarify why Astro’s compiler was written in Go (“appeared like enjoyable”).
