theme growth – After some time attachment meta information is lacking “sizes” information

We like to make use of customized picture sizes for customized WP themes. This fashion, we will present acceptable photos for the customized parts and we will be certain that photos do not load too massive or too heavy. Now we have encountered an issue; most photos are loaded with the ‘full’ picture dimension, regardless that the right picture dimension is current within the uploads folder.

We discovered that for these photos, the generated picture sizes are lacking from the _wp_attachment_metadata postmeta.

After regenerating the picture sizes, the _wp_attachment_metadata for all photos comprise the “sizes” array appropriately. This permits us to show the right picture sizes.

However the “sizes” information disappears after a while and so the “full” picture dimension is displayed once more. The interval over which this occurs appears to be random.

I’ve discovered associated questions, however none appear to deal with the core downside. Can anybody clarify why this information is lacking? Is there a core WordPress performance that checks the _wp_attachment_metadata for every picture in a recurring motion? Is one thing going mistaken there?
