For the primary time, the Division of Posts has delivered mail utilizing a drone as a part of a pilot mission.
The parcel was despatched from Habay village in Bhuj taluka to Ner village in Bhachau taluka in Kutch district– the drone coated 46 kms in 25 minutes.
The postal division used a drone from Gurugram-based drone logistics startup, TechEagle. “It was the longest drone supply in a single flight and that too in a harsh climate atmosphere with a wind pace of greater than 31 km/hr,” TechEagle Improvements tweeted.
In comparison with floor transportation, drones assist in delivering articles at 5x pace. “Because the nation celebrated the DroneMahotsav2022, the Division of Posts efficiently performed a pilot check for supply of parcels by means of drones in Kutch, Gujarat,” tweeted Devusinh Chauhan, Minister of state for Communications.
