YouTube might cap decision free of charge customers — are you prepared to pay for 4K?

Not too long ago some customers on Twitter and Reddit have reported that YouTube has requested them to improve to its premium providers to look at high-resolution 4K movies. As of this writing, there was no official announcement or acknowledgment but from the streaming service.

One Twitter person shared that some customers are being requested to join YouTube’s Premium service after making an attempt to look at some movies in 4K. We weren’t in a position to replicate this ourselves and for now, we won’t make sure if this can be a small trial to check the waters or the beginning of a full rollout. YouTube Premium is $11.99 a month, which at the moment removes adverts from the service, offers you entry to YouTube Music, and lets you obtain movies to look at later.
