Ben and Cassidy chat with Ian Tien, CEO and cofounder, and Corey Hulen, CTO and cofounder of Mattermost, an open-source platform for developer collaboration. They talk about how Ian arrived at laptop programming beneath duress, the connection between recreation firms and SaaS firms, the challenges of monetizing open-source tasks, and why “software program is adopted, not offered.”

Ian and Corey met at Microsoft, the place they constructed Microsoft Workplace Enterprise Scorecard Supervisor 2005 (which boasted its personal CD-ROM).
They went on to discovered Mattermost in 2016 to provide builders one platform for collaborating throughout instruments and groups.
