In a latest improvement at present, the Defence Analysis and Growth Organisation (DRDO) carried out efficiently the maiden check flight of an Unmanned Aerial Automobile (UAV), an autonomous Flying Wing Expertise Demonstrator from the Aeronautical Check Vary, Chitradurga in Karnataka.
“Working in a completely autonomous mode, the plane exhibited an ideal flight, together with take-off, waypoint navigation and a easy landing,” DRDO stated in an announcement. “This flight marks a serious milestone in proving applied sciences in direction of the development of future unmanned airships and is a big step in direction of self-reliance.”
A small turbofan engine powers the Unmanned Aerial Automobile (UAV). The airframe, undercarriage and full flight management and avionics techniques used for the plane have been developed indigenously, DRDO stated.
The UAV was designed and developed by Aeronautical Growth Institution (ADE), Bengaluru, a premier analysis laboratory of DRDO.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO for efficiently finishing up the maiden flight of UAV from Karnataka’s Chitradurga ATR.
